Longmont Association of REALTOR® 2009 Bowling for CARHOF

I (Luke Kunselman) would really like to thank everyone that participated in this years Bowling for CARHOF Fundraiser. I know that money has been tight for some of us for a little while, but for the 68 of us who were able to put teams and donations together this year, we had a great time and raised some good money for a great charity. This year’s Bowling for CARHOF Fundraiser was a big success. Through the donations of the 68 bowlers, we were able to raise $3778.00 this year. Thank you all so much for participating. It is the people that make this event so much fun every year. In fact, Reid Williams (LAR President) came up to me after the event and said, “This is the event of the year! It used to be the Golf Tournament, but this is definitely the funnest thing we do each year now!”

There were a lot of great things that happened at this year’s Bowling for CARHOF Fundraiser. We gave away over 70 prizes to local businesses in Longmont. We had a few beers, we sang Happy Birthday to Regina Cheyney, we announced Kathy Crowder recently becoming a grandma, we had a few more beers and through it all we did a lot of bowling. After the bowling was over, many people headed over to the Red Zone for an after party. A good time was definitely had by all.

Congratulations to Steve Conder, Steve Arrington, Joe DeMott and Dan Vonalt for winning the Men’s Team High Score, and also Congratulations to Wendi Nafziger, Sheridon Simington, Stacy Cornay and Michelle Snyder for winning the Women’s Team High Score. Both teams also donated their $100 Cash prize back to CARHOF. The lowest game score of the day went to Stephanie McKay, Bron Schuetze, Stacey Arais and Cecelia De Villers. The score was even too low to print here! I would also like to thank Kris Anderson, Lorrie Cragg, Kristen Davis and Jennifer Melichar for donating their Green bowties made of money to CARHOF.

As Chairman of the Bowling for CARHOF committee, I want to take this time to thank all that helped make this event such a success. The committee members were Wendi Nafziger from the Longmont Area Economic Council, Kyle Snyder from Land Title Guarantee Company, Scott Drees from WR Starkey Mortgage, Dana Schnorr from United Title and Luke and Shelley Kunselman from The Kunselman Team. Without each of these people, this event would not have happened.

I would like to acknowledge all the Members of LAR that donated the prizes to the Bowling for CARHOF Fundraiser. Mark Pepin of Advantage Home Inspections, Rose Chamberlain of Prudential and InsideLongmont.com, Marty Quigley of Prudential, Nicholas Houston of RESA, Luke and Shelley Kunselman of The Kunselman Team, Sandy Pettinger, Scott Drees and Sabrina Lee all of WR Starkey Mortgage.

All of the food that was available for everyone to eat was supplied by your LAR Affiliate Committee Members. Thank you to all of you who brought food.

I would really like to thank Centennial Lanes for hosting our event again this year. Don and Carol and their staff were wonderful to work with. Our appreciation for them is immeasurable. They really did an excellent job with helping our event be successful. If you would like to practice Moonlight Bowling for next year’s big event, Centennial Lanes has it every Saturday night; the check in time is 9:30pm.

While The Kunselman Team collected many of the prizes that were given away, I would really like to extend my gratitude to the local companies who donated the prizes. We would also ask that you (Members of LAR) support these businesses, because they support you. The companies who donated are as follows: Paw Au Pair Pet Nanny, All Green Carpet Care, Momentum Business Coaching, Pinocchio’s Italian Restaurant, Nicolo’s Pizza, Ziggi’s, Buzz Coffee, Oil Can Henry’s, Cartridge World, Snow Mountain Creamery, Studio Boom, Glacier Homemade Ice Cream and Gelato, Las Palmeras, Jesters Dinner Theather, Tenacity Wine Shop, Tusk Bar, Massage and Merlot, Garden Gate Café, Le Peeps, Ragazzi’s, Silver Mine Subs, Lamplighter Dry Cleaners, The Tan Spa, Proto’s Pizza, Havana Manor, Mystic Garden Spa and Salon, and Santiago’s Mexican Restaurant.

Once again I would like to thank everyone that helped to make this event such a success and remind all the realtors that not only does your Affiliate Committee host these wonderful events, but we also are here to support and grow your business. Make sure that the people you work with are Affiliate Committee Members.
